VEA MOC Jump Start 2023 Registration

Register here to attend VEA's Jump Start workshop for current NBCTs who intend to engage in the Maintenance of Certification process to keep their NBCT status active.

MOC Jump Start is a one-day event on Friday, July 14, 2022 at the Richmond Marriott Short Pump in Glen Allen, Virginia.

Registration includes a full day of programming, continental breakfast & lunch and lodging if requested.
Registration rates vary based on VEA member/non-member status and whether lodging is required. Registration will close on June 30.

Commuter Rate (no lodging): $50

NBCTs must have an active National Board Certificate to pursue Maintenance of Certification. NBCTs have two opportunities to complete their MOC process. The National Board cycle in 2023-24 will be the first opportunity for NBCTs whose certificate expires in 2025, and the second (final) opportunity for those whose certificate expires in 2024. NBCTs who have certificates expiring in 2026 or later are welcome to attend MOC Jump Start but will not be eligible to pursue Maintenance of Certification with NBPTS until 2024-25 or later.

Lodging Options (facilitators). All rooms are single occupancy. Lodging is provided for facilitators on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, July 12-14. Facilitators may request lodging for Saturday; such requests are subject to approval by VEA Director of Teaching & Learning based on distance of facilitator travel.
Facilitators will gather Wednesday, July 12 in the late afternoon/evening and have dinner together. Dinner expenses for Thursday and Friday may be reimbursed in keeping with VEA protocols.
